Our filter sand meets the requirements for particulate size and material. While playground sand can be up to 2 millimeters in size, our filter sand comes in at between .45 and .55 millimeters. This makes it exceptional for filtering out contaminants. In addition, while silica is taken out for playground sand as it isn’t safe for children, it is kept in filter sand because it cleans and filters better with it present.
